Established in 1998, the Singers on the Grand present music from the silver screen, Broadway, jazz standards and popular hits.
"I believe the best of American Broadway and popular music is our poetry, memorized to melody, bringing us together as a culture. And to be able to work with these generous and talented musicians, who interpret these songs so well, is simply a joy."
—Libby Brandon (1939–2018), founder of Singers on the Grand
The Singers on the Grand premiered at the Grand Ledge Opera House in the spring of 1994. The ensemble officially regrouped in 1998 and have now presented 26 specially-themed season revues.
The close harmonies of twelve vocalists are accompanied by the talented, energetic “Grand Band.” The group performs exciting music from the silver screen, Broadway, jazz and pop hits, plus rare musical gems.
Singers on the Grand normally presents a new season revue each year at several mid-Michigan locations, including: Wilson Center in St. Johns; The Grand Ledge Opera House; Portland Community Theater and more!
